    GENERAL FAQ’S

    Relocation of any vehicle type

If your car was towed at the request of an agency, you must first be sure that you don’t need the agency’s permission to pick up the car.

You can retrieve personal items from your vehicle during our regular business hours, even if the towing fees haven’t been paid. Arizona law allows you to access your personal property from the towed vehicle without incurring additional charges. However, the timeline to remove personal items is typically until the vehicle is sold or otherwise disposed of if it is not reclaimed. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible to avoid complications.

Your car was likely towed for one of the following reasons:

    • Private property tow: The vehicle was parked in a spot where it was unauthorized, such as in a no-parking zone, fire lane, or a reserved spot, and the property owner authorized the tow.
    • Public property tow: The vehicle was parked illegally, blocking traffic, or abandoned, and law enforcement requested the tow.
    • Expired registration or violations: Your vehicle may have been towed due to an expired registration or unresolved fines.

For specific details, contact us or check the notice provided within 24 hours of the tow.

    • Courtesy Tow: This term typically refers to a service where a vehicle is moved without formal charges or enforcement actions. For example, a vehicle may be relocated within a property (e.g., from one parking area to another) as a favor to a property owner or to improve access.
    • Tow by the Hour: This service is for specific requests, such as moving construction vehicles, show cars, or assisting with mechanical issues. Instead of charging per mile, the fee is based on the time spent on the job.

A lien is placed on your vehicle when towing and storage fees remain unpaid after a certain period, as per Arizona law. This lien allows the towing company to recover unpaid costs by auctioning the vehicle. To avoid a lien, ensure prompt payment of all fees. If a lien has been placed, you will receive a formal notice with instructions on how to resolve it before the vehicle is sold.
